NEW DELHI: Nissan, Indian subsidiary of Japanese automaker ready to launch its Sunny sedan car this Tuesday which prices between Rs.5.75 lakh and Rs.7.68 lakh (ex-showroom).

"We are confident that Nissan Sunny will redefine the dynamics of the sedan segment in India," said Gilles Normand, vice president for Africa, Middle East and India, Nissan Motor Co.
The new car would compete with other mid-size sedans such as the fluidic Verna, Ford Fiesta, Honda City, SX4 and the Fiat Linea.
The company said that the car would be manufactured at its plant near Chennai Oragadam with 85 percent of localized parts.
"We were able to position aggressively with the location of more than 85 percent, which reaffirms our commitment to India," said Normand.
The company also said that orders for the new sedan would be accepted by September 21 and deliveries will be made in October.
"Sunny with a 16.95 km/liters of fuel consumption is available to customers across the country, without a wait time of delivery," the company said in a statement.
The sedan is equipped with a gasoline engine, four-cylinder 1.5-liter dual overhead cams that can terminate a power of 99 hp at 6000 rpm speed.
