BMW Eco friendly Launching i3 and i8.............

BMW informed its intention to world that BMW start erecting green cars in the BMW sub-brand before an year ago and from the German brand has kept us happy with the information bits, video teaser sketches and vague. Last week, the company finally unveiled the first two cars. Finally, the new BMW that I drive on 2013 in the production lines of Zaha Hadid, designed the company plant in Leipzig.
BMW i3 and i8

Revealed in Frankfurt last week, the event brought together all of BMW board - Now for the first time in the history of the company - which makes it very clear how the new BMW views of sustainable business.

The i3 i8 and climax of the BMW brand. While the i3 is a compact car with electric drive, designed for dense urban environments - that was invented before the car Megacities - the i8 is a proposal from electric super sports car prototype developed from the Vision Efficient Dynamics 2009.

At the heart of all BMW cars BMW is the architecture of "Life Drive This modular structure allows intelligent of all elements related to the operation of the car -. The suspension, lithium-ion batteries and drive systems - s" sit in the lower unit, while the carbon fibre aluminium in the life of the passenger cell is mounted on top. It is this dependence on carbon fibre BMW makes cars i viable massively strong and lightweight carbon fibre makes electric propulsion to provide a performance and range.
We caught up with Adrian van Hooydonk, senior vice president of BMW Group design, bringing the event to learn more about the design of BMW cars.

BMW i3 is only 3845mm long, 1537mm high and 2011mm wide feel to the spacious interior. This radical change in the design of the normal car has given us so many benefits working for a small city that i3. The modular architecture means that the engine adapts to the creation of a relatively large passenger cell. The floor is flat, which is not often the case in cars, and this increases your sense of the spacious interior. Also carbon fibre structure is so steep that we could remove the B pillar, which gives us the opportunity to coach doors, so you have a very good performance and access to the car.

And BMW i8 is designed totally according to aerodynamics which was so important for the design and although I cannot give exact figures but, it puts them in wind tunnels, they have very low [drag coefficient] value and so. Another interesting design is the design of the tires. For us designers, it was a dream to use 19" wheels but here we have made very narrow, which contributes to the aerodynamics.
